Review:Mary Kay signature eye primer

I'm a total primer junkie but I should give up because I always go back to my UDPP. I got a sample of this awhile back so I wanted to review it for you all in case anyone was thinking about trying it...

What it claims: Dermatologist tested. Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for sensitive eye area skin and for contact lens wearers. Fragrance free. MK Signature eye primer extends the wear of eye color and prevents eye color from creasing or smudging.

Ingredients:Ingredients: water, talc, isononyl isononanoate, cyclpentasiloxane, sorbitan isostearate, cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone, lauroyl lysine, ptfe, cyclohexasiloxane, polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, propylene glycol, cetyl dimethicone, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, chamomile extract, lecithin, sphingolipids, ceramide 3, hexyl laurate, sodium chloride, hydrolyzed wheat protein hydroxypropyl polysiloxane, sesame oil, beeswax, nylon-12, diazolidinyl urea, dimethiconol, octyl cocoate, methylparaben, propylparaben, phenoxyethanol, tetradibutyl pentaerithrityl hydroxyhydrocinnamate, zinc oxide

Price: $12.00

Where you can buy it: marykay.com or your local mary kay consultant

My Rating: 1 peace sign

The Good: The packaging was what made me really want to try this in the first place because since it's a squeeze tube I knew it was easier to get all the product out. A little goes a long way. It also dries really fast. The consistency is like a moisturizer maybe just a tiny bit thicker and blends very easily into the skin.

The Bad: For my oily lids this primer didn't hold my makeup on even 4 hours. I was extremely disappointed because I heard a lot of good stuff about this product and thought it was promising. I'm glad it was just a sample size so I won't be wasting the whole thing not using it.

Overall: I wouldn't recommend this if you have oily to extremely oily lids because from what I can tell the oil is breaking down this products barrier then resulting in major creasing. But, if you don't have oily lids you could possibly consider this.

*Just MY opinion of this product, you never know YOU could love it!*

Alyssa-Yes I just had to let everyone know!

so-FEE_ah-I'm sorry to hear that, is there no way you can return it? I don't really know much about MK but I know that our AVON stand here lets you return if your not satisfied with a product.

It's nice to see someone who feels the same way about this product. It seems their primers get great reviews, at least in my search, but this stuff just does nothing for me. My makeup starts creasing within 1 hour. I'm kinda disappointed because I bought a twelve dollar tube of it. Oh well. :/
