FOTD: Cut crease with pink lip

Hey everyone!!

I can't believe it's already November, even though it really doesn't feel like it here in Vegas. The weather has been so weird last week it was freezing and now this week we're back in the 80's idk what's going on!

Anywayz...I've been doing just the minimum lately when it comes to make up because I just haven't had time to do much more but I finally got around to doing a full on look. This is a neutral cut crease that I paired with a bright lip.

Here it is...

I'm only showing one eye closed because the lighting wasn't working with me and the left eye always looked way dark.

Full face shot...

What I used to get this look:

MAC Paint pot in Layin low

NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk

MAC Ricepaper as browbone highlight

MAC Llama all over lid

Jane Colorstick in True original

MAC Cork as crease color

MAC Prep+Prime Skin

MAC Studio fix powder

Sally Girl blush in Frenemy

MAC Vanilla pigment as highlight

Wet n Wild lipliner in Fab fuschia

MAC lipstick in Passionate

MAC lustreglass in Love nectar

NOTW: Kiss me here

I haven't done one of these in so long! So, here's my nails this week...

I used Sally Hansen Nail Protex as a base coat, Pure Ice in Kiss me here and Revlon Sealing Shine as a topcoat.

I've worn this polish about 3 times and love it more and more each time. It's different for me since I'm mostly attracted to bright colors but it's definitely a keeper!

Nail Tip:

Do you sometimes find that your polish chips off really fast and you don't know why??

Take a q-tip and dip it in pure acetone and rub it on each of your nails lightly, this will take off any oils you may have on your nails and give a smooth clean surface for the polish.

I've been doing this for awhile and it works really good! I know that acetone is harsh but I haven't noticed any dryness or damage to my nails since doing this.

*You can also use regular polish remover, I just found that acetone worked better for me*

So, maybe that tip will help some of you!

If you already do this or try it, I would love to hear how it works for you!

*All information came from package.

Where you can buy it: Target, Wal-Mart, CVS, Ulta, K-mart and anywhere else Loreal products are sold.

Price: $5.99-$7.99 depending on where you purchase it.

My Rating: 2 peace signs

The Good: I personally love mascara's with big brushes so this one was ideal. Despite what I didn't like about it, it actually did hold a curl and the volume it gave my lashes was pretty good. It also washed off really easily with make up remover or a wipe.

The Bad: The formula really sucked for me everything it claimed to be didn't live up. The clumps that formed on my lashes were crazy and even though I loved the brush I think it was a huge factor in the clumps because of how much product it picked up at one time. After every few uses when you take out the wand you can see a large amount of product sitting on the end of the brush so I could imagine how much is actually on the bristles ready to clump all over my lashes. It also flaked off within a few hours of wear and well as give me little black rings right under my lower lashes.

Overall: I didn't really like it as much as I wanted to. It's too bad because I thought with all it claimed it had potential to be one of my favorites.

*Just MY opinion/thoughts on this product. You never know it might work for YOU*

Weekend Recap and My first lush haul

I know I'm a day late but...how was every one's weekend??

Saturday was my mom's birthday and no one knew what to do so we just kinda played it by ear. It stared off with dinner then we out of the blue decided to go to Mandalay Bay to check it out since it's one of the casino's none of us have to been to yet. I was especially excited because I knew it was where our only lush store is. That casino was really pretty, there's so many restaurants there I want to try out! I didn't take pics that day I just kept forgetting which sux but yeah...

So let me just say that I had heard so much hype about lush and wanted to try certain things but just kinda brushed it off after awhile when I got into trying other products instead but once I was actually in the store and got to see everything and test stuff out I was in love! They were having a twilight party that day too it was funny cuz they had this cardboard Edward figure standing there next to these soaps called "Forks Rain" that smelled kinda minty to me and all these girls were taking pics with "Edward" like he was real haha.

This is what I got...

Left to Right: Coalface cleansing bar, Tea Tree Water toner and two samples of ocean salt and herbalism.

I thought this label was way cute it says "Viva Lush Vegas" haha.

On a different shopping trip I got this hello kitty I love nerds over sized coin purse!

So yep that was it, I started using the coalface cleanser and tea tree water already and so far I like it but it's too soon to tell if it's working for my skin or not so as soon as I start seeing any changes I'll update on that!

I also got a new haircut yesterday but haven't gotten around to taking pics of it but I will soon, so be on the look out!
