I'm having an icky day...
Then earlier today I got my camera back and was messing with it to make sure my pictures from my looks yesterday were still there and I accidentally hit a button and deleted everything on the card. I don't even know how it happened and it didn't even give me a chance to confirm it like it usually does when you delete pictures. So I lost those pictures. Boo on that!! All I could think was I can't believe it! Now I don't have anything to post today. I'm going to relax for a little and then I might just do some EOTD's since I really don't wanna show my whole face right now.
Ok I'm done now...lol.
Review:Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Dual Action Toner
Wow that was like the longest title ever! lol. For the past month or so my skin hasn't been looking so great. I've been breaking out like crazy, it makes me feel like a teenager again. But not only am I breaking out I'm getting scars left from where the pimples once were, I'm not a picker so I have no idea why this is happening. I haven't gotten scars before so something is up. Anyways, my skin has gotten used to my old routine so I'm trying little by little to switch it up. So here's a review on one of the first products I've tried...
What it claims: Cleans deep in your pores and leaves your skin feeling energized, for a lasting refreshing feel. Naturally derived aloe and chamomile sooth skin to prevent over-drying.
This unique toner works in 2 ways:
1-Cleans deep: the tingly formula penetrates deep into pores to completely clean away dirt and oil.
2-Tightens pores: the tingly surge of invigoration gives you tighter feeling pores and seal in the sensation.
Ingredients:
Water, Alcohol Denat., Trideceth 9, PEG 5 Ethylhexanoate, Polysorbate 20, Witch Hazel (Hamamelis Virginiana), Extract, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Lactate, Sodium PCA, Allantoin, Matricaria (Chamomila Recuita) Flower Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Benzotriazole Butylphenol Sulfonate, Menthyl Lactate, Menthol, Blue 1, Fragrance
Price: $4.99-$6.99
Where you can buy it: Walmart, Target, Kmart, CVS, Walgreens, Ulta and anywhere else Neutrogena is sold. (Doesn't it sound like a commercial when I put that? lol)
My Rating: 4.5 peace signs
The Good: Again, like other products I like this is tingly. I guess I just have a thing for products that tingle. lol. It makes my skin feel really clean after using it and totally refreshed. That "clean" feeling lasts a good couple minutes. It also really picks up things on your face you never knew was there. Before I used this I cleansed my face and exfoliated and when I looked at the cotton pad once I was done swiping my face there was still dirt left! I couldn't believe it, I use the Clinique toner and it picks up some dirt but this stuff picked up more. My face didn't dry out either like some toners seems to do to my skin and I didn't get that tight feeling once the toner had dried.
The Bad: It has a slightly strong alcohol smell to it and if you wipe a little close to your eyes they will definitely water. Other than that I see nothing else bad about this toner.
Overall: I'm really loving it right now, it gives my face a much cleaner feeling than my other toner did and for the price, that's great. I'm totally going to be adding this to my routine for a good while.

Review:Almay Moisturizing makeup remover pads
What it claims: America's Number One eye makeup remover brand. Single use pad gently removes even waterproof eye makeup and long wearing lip color; Moisturizes eye area, fends off dry skin and fine lines.
Ingredients: Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, C12 15 Alkyl Benzoate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract (Cucumber), Camellia Sensis Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
Price: $2.99-$6.99
Where you can buy it: Walmart, Target, Kmart, Ulta and anywhere else Almay products are sold.
My Rating: 2 Peace signs
The Good: They take off eyeshadow and mascara in just a few swipes. The pads are fully saturated with the remover so you get a lot on each one. Since it's a pad with remover on it already it's convenient and ready to go.
The Bad: The pads are pretty small (maybe an inch or slightly smaller in width) and if you have a lot of makeup on each eye you will most likely have to use 2 pads, so that's 4 pads each time you remove your eye makeup and these will run out fast. I also find that it takes a little more work to get eyeliner off the waterline and the pads are extremely greasy so you have to rinse off your eyes after your done using the pads.
Overall: I really wished these would have worked better for me, because I really loved the idea of how convenient they are. I would suggest these for those who don't wear much eye makeup or heavy eyeliner on the waterline (like I do) and don't mind having to rinse it off. Also, they do carry these in a non-oily formula which might be better. I just tried this formula so the skin around my eye area wouldn't get dry. So, I guess it's on to the next remover...
*Just MY opinion of this product, you never know YOU could love it!*

*Note this is an experiment on my extremely oily skin, if you have different skin than me you might have different results*
At the end of the day, a little over 10 hours later. So, as you can see I got pretty oily. This was on a day I was outside for part of the day and inside the rest so weather/heat only played a small part. Now that I've been using this for weeks the less and less I like it. My skin has been breaking out lately too so I'm thinking this might be a culprit because it's the only thing I've changed in the things I put on my face.
Well it looks like I better head to MAC and get me another primer...

Weekend recap and Haul
I can't wait to use the brush cleaner it has holders at the top to keep brushes in place while they soak (not for long though) and it has these grooves at the bottom to help scrub and get out all the makeup from the brush. I think I'm gonna use the pump bottle for nail polish remover and I'm gonna try and cut my bangs with the texturizing comb. I read about the black q-tips, they look interesting and I really hope the blackhead removers work.
If any of you ladies would like reviews on any of this stuff let me know and I'll do them first.
**Oh and today makes it 2 months until my birthday! I usually already know what I'm doing and have it all planned but this year I have no idea...I guess it's because I'm turning 23 and it's not one of those "big" years. But yeah....**

Updated Review on Maybelline Volume Express Colossal Mascara
How to use: Sweep brush from root to tip. Do not let dry between coats.
Price: $5.99 and up
Colors: Classic black and Glam black
Where you can buy it: Walmart, Target, Kmart, Ulta and anywhere else Maybelline is sold.
My Rating: 5 peace signs
The Good: OK so 9x the volume is stretching it but it does give a good amount of volume to my lashes. The big brush takes a little getting used to but I actually really like it because it covers a good area in one stroke. I'm a wiggler when I apply mascara so almost instantly I can see the volume and length. My lashes are some what full already but this mascara really brings the fullness.
The Bad: It has a funky smell to it but once it dries you can't smell it anymore so to me this isn't really an issue, but to some it might be. It doesn't really separate lashes that great and can give you major spider lashes if you let each coat dry completely.
Tip: I'm not used to doing this, but for this mascara to work at it's full potential I had to adjust. If you apply more than one coat then you should apply each coat one after another, don't do like normal and apply one coat to each eye and go back because it gives time for the mascara to dry on your lashes and when you go back to the eye you'll find it hard to get the mascara to go on right then causing major spider lashes. So, do all the coats your going to apply on one eye and then move to the other doing the same. It might be a hassle for some but I find it's the best way to use this mascara.
Overall: I really love this mascara it has become my HG, I haven't used anything else since I first bought this.

Haul
I signed up for a Sally's membership and it takes off a pretty good amount. Everything in the store is at membersip price which is way cool and I found a store that is much cleaner and more organized than the others I've been to around here.
Stuff I got from Big Lots:
2 studio basics paddle and point cotton applicators.
Queen Helene Apricot Moisturizing facial masque.
ELF candy shop tin lipgloss trio's in Sweet and Candy.
ELF french manicure set.
Can you believe I got all of this for $25?! I was totally bargain shopping! lol
If any of you ladies would like reviews on any of these products or swatches of the lippies or eyeshadows just let me know, I'll be more than happy to do them!
I also know I haven't done a FOTD, EOTD and the like in SO long, but I've just been wearing the minimum since I've been feeling pretty blah lately but since I'm off the next 2 days I'll work on a couple looks to share with you all.

I need your help, please!
OR would it be better to get a MSF natural, I know I've seen a couple girls that are the same number as me and use this color...
But I'm thinking with that one it might be close to the color of my actual foundation so it wouldn't be worth it to use.
Thank you in advance if you help!

Review:Mary Kay signature eye primer
What it claims: Dermatologist tested. Ophthalmologist tested. Suitable for sensitive eye area skin and for contact lens wearers. Fragrance free. MK Signature eye primer extends the wear of eye color and prevents eye color from creasing or smudging.
Ingredients:Ingredients: water, talc, isononyl isononanoate, cyclpentasiloxane, sorbitan isostearate, cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone, lauroyl lysine, ptfe, cyclohexasiloxane, polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, propylene glycol, cetyl dimethicone, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, chamomile extract, lecithin, sphingolipids, ceramide 3, hexyl laurate, sodium chloride, hydrolyzed wheat protein hydroxypropyl polysiloxane, sesame oil, beeswax, nylon-12, diazolidinyl urea, dimethiconol, octyl cocoate, methylparaben, propylparaben, phenoxyethanol, tetradibutyl pentaerithrityl hydroxyhydrocinnamate, zinc oxide
Price: $12.00
Where you can buy it: marykay.com or your local mary kay consultant
My Rating: 1 peace sign
The Good: The packaging was what made me really want to try this in the first place because since it's a squeeze tube I knew it was easier to get all the product out. A little goes a long way. It also dries really fast. The consistency is like a moisturizer maybe just a tiny bit thicker and blends very easily into the skin.
The Bad: For my oily lids this primer didn't hold my makeup on even 4 hours. I was extremely disappointed because I heard a lot of good stuff about this product and thought it was promising. I'm glad it was just a sample size so I won't be wasting the whole thing not using it.
Overall: I wouldn't recommend this if you have oily to extremely oily lids because from what I can tell the oil is breaking down this products barrier then resulting in major creasing. But, if you don't have oily lids you could possibly consider this.
*Just MY opinion of this product, you never know YOU could love it!*

Review: Benefit F.Y...eye!
My Rating: 4 peace signs
The Bad: It has a weird old lady perfume smell to it. I also kinda don't like that you have to wait 3 minutes to start applying eye shadows because I'm the kind that really just wants to apply and get right into putting on the makeup, but if I'm not in a hurry it's ok. I would also like to test how this holds up in different weather to see if the the staying power is the same, but other than that I really like it.
Overall: It's not my UDPP but still a good product, I could see myself still using it though.

Review:Biore Enliven Cooling eye gel
- Ophthalmologist tested
- Safe for contact lens wearers
- Non comedogenic
- Hypoallergenic
- Oil Free
How to Use: Apply a small amount of the eye gel onto fingertip and smooth under eye area with a gentle patting motion.
Price: $8.99-$9.99
Where you can buy it: Walmart, Target, Ulta and anywhere else Biore is sold.
My Rating:4.5 peace signs
The Good: On the days I get minimal sleep (which is most days of the week) I wake up to not so pretty puffy eyes that if I don't do something about will last for hours. I had never thought of using a eye cream or gel but I read an article in a magazine about this product saying it would wake up tired eyes. It's very light and you need only one pump for each eye, it dries very quickly as well. Since it's cooling it feels very refreshing and within about 10 minutes the puffiness goes down. It is definitely one of my must do's in the morning.
The Bad: Since I don't have dark circles I really can't say how it works for that. That's pretty much it though.
Overall: I LOVE it!
*Just MY opinion of this product*

5+5 facts all about ME!
Random Facts:
One-I am what is usually called a "big" girl, I put it that way because it's what I'm used to hearing. So that is why you don't see any pics of me in outfits or longer angles that include my body. I'm on a constant struggle to get the weight off, I'll get where I need to be but I know it takes time. It's a huge insecurity for me since there's so many gorgeous beauty bloggers out there that can show their bodies but I just can't, it's a hard subject for me even harder that I'm sharing it now.
Two-My first best friend ever is still my best friend today. I don't get to see her as much as I would like though because she lives in Cali now but I know she's always there for me no matter what.
Three- I am a mix of three nationalities and I know none of the languages.
Four-I'm realllly shy at first, then once I'm comfy around you I'm goofy and don't stop talking.
Five-I have a HUGE obsession with purses if a store sells purses I'll most likely buy one there. lol.
Now 5 *Filipino/Hawaiian/Mexican* Facts about me:
**Note:I really have no clue about my Mexican heritage because that is what my father is and he left my life at a young age.**
1.When was the last time you were back at your homeland? I have never been to the Philippines or Hawaii and I just been to TJ and another small town in Mexico.
2. Name 1 food dish from your culture you enjoy the most and why? Filipino Dish-Chicken Adobo. Hawaiian Dish-Chicken Katsu. Mexican Dish-Carne Asada. Their all just things as I grew up my family made and I love them all.
3. Name 1 house hold item that best resembles your culture.
We don't have anything that would really resemble them all.
4. Do you know how to speak in your language (besides English)? If so say a phrase or two.
I don't know how to speak any of the languages fluently, I just know little words here and there. Sux cuz I would really love to learn them all.
5. Which part of your country are you from? I know from what I was told my family is from around Manila in the Philippines and Maui in Hawaii (even though Hawaii isn't a country)
Ok well I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better!! =)
Review: Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer
What it claims: Skin perfecting primer smoothes and evens out your complexion, prolongs the wear of your foundation. Minimizes pores.
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau; Cyclopentasiloxane; Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate; Propylene Glycol; Phenyl Trimethicone; Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate; Dimethicone; Polyethylene; Talc; Dimethicone PEG-10/15 Crosspolymer; Magnesium Sulfate; Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer; Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer; Phenoxyethanol; Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone; Lecithin; Parfum/Fragrance; Silica Dimethyl Silylate; Methylparaben; Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Powder; Tocopheryl Acetate; Butylparaben; Ethylparaben; Isobutylparaben; Propylparaben; Silica; Dipropylene Glycol; Tocopherol; Triethoxycaprylylsilane; BHT; Hexyl Cinnamal; Limonene; Butylphenyl Methylpropional; Benzyl Salicylate; Linalool; Geraniol; Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone; Citronellol; [May Contain/Peut Contenir +/-: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Mica (CI 77019), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Ultramarines (CI 77007)].
Price:$5.99-$8.99 (prices vary by retailer)
Where to find it: Walmart, Target, Kmart, Ulta and anywhere else Rimmel is sold.
My Rating: 3.5 peace signs
The Good: It's very light like the consistency of a moisturizer, but thick enough that it doesn't run if you dot it on before rubbing it in (like I do). It blends into the skin very well, smooths out pores pretty well and really leaves my skin feeling soft. I use a sponge to rub it in and it doesn't get streaky at all, like I've noticed with some other primers. A little goes a long way so just a few dots around the face and your good to go. Leaves foundation looking smooth and even as it should. Also, some of the other reviews I have read mentioned that the orange color of this primer is a con but to me I think it's what makes the pores look less visible and once it's all rubbed in there is no color left over (although I'm not sure about how it is with fair skin) so I don't see it as a problem.
The Bad: In the heat the primer doesn't hold up all too well and didn't even last 6 hours, it did however hold up better when I was inside all day or in cool weather. That's pretty much it.
Overall: For my skin type I guess this would better for the colder months, or days I'm not planning on wearing face makeup for very long. I really really wanted to like this primer but I would like one that I could use all year round no matter what the weather and has a much longer lasting time. In my opinion this would work great for those who don't have oily skin.
Also I was thinking about doing a experiment post with this as well to show how it lasted. Let me know if any of you would like that.
**Just MY opinion, you never know YOU could love it!!**

UD 24/7 eyeliner experiment
Right after application
4 hours later, some very slight fading
8 hours later, a bit more fading
At the end of the day, 12 hours later
So, as you can see it has really really really great lasting power. I have used TONS of eyeliners and this one has totally impressed me, with most of the others by the time 12 hours came around it had almost completely disappeared. Oh and I also forgot to mention that this was with no touch ups at all, which I'm usually used to doing but strayed away from it this day. I hope this was good because I've never done one of these experiments before. Let me know if you all liked it, or if I should do something different with it. Thanks if you do!
