I went a little nail polish crazy...

lol I've had this huge thing for nail polish lately so this past weekend everywhere I went I found myself looking at them so here's what I picked up...

This first haul is Pure Ice and Love My Nails (which I seen on the lovely Rai's page)

Here are the colors: Pure Ice in Cheatin, Love my Nails in Pretty in Pink, Milky Way, All That, Angel Baby, Star Bright, Crazy for you and Pure Ice in French Kiss.

Then I went to the mall and stopped in the Icing for these two polishes in Marine Blue and Mellow.

10 in one day! I can't wait to use them all, I've alredy picked out combo's to use with the Love your Nails polishes since they're all glitter topcoats.

What do I love most about these polishes? The price. Not one of them was over $4.

What's your favorite brand of nail polish?

2 in 1 Review: Revlon Eyelashes

What they Claim: Revlon Fantasy Lengths Maximum Wear eyelashes are a revolutionary way to go from Plain Jane to Naturally Fantastic instantly. Without messy glue to fumble with--you can have perfect lashes that stay where you want them to-even water!

Package Contains: One pair of eyelashes, two extra adhesive strips, one applicator and reference sheet.

Where you can buy these: Go HERE for a list.

My Rating: 4.5 Peace Signs

The Good: I LOVE the fact that these are self adhesive! It's so convenient and easy. They feel really natural on and they're lightweight so they don't feel heavy on your eyes. If you make a mistake it's easy to just peel them off and readjust them without a big mess of glue. I even tried taking them off a couple times and putting them back on to test the stickyness and even after about 4 times the strip was still pretty sticky.

The Bad: The Price. I got the opportunity to test these out but if/when I run out I've only seen them on a couple sites going for $5 plus. It's not extremely bad compared to some lashes I've seen out there but for some that might be too much. Also this particular style was a little short for my eye they kinda fit like corner lashes so I had to really make sure that my eyeliner was even with the band so it wasn't showing at all.

Overall: I really really like these! This particular style is really dramatic,which I like in falsies. I would totally recommend these for those either just starting out using falsies as well as those who want an easier way to apply falsies without having to mess with all the glue.

~~~
What it Claims: Glamorize your eyes! Instantly get beautiful sexy lashes in a snap with Revlon Fantasy Lengths Glue on eyelashes.
Package Contains: One pair of eyelashes, one adhesive and tip sheet.
My Rating: 4 Peace Signs
The Good: The Glue is the best part of these! lol It's a little on the watery side but it's not a bad thing at all, for me I find that it dries a lot faster than waterproof glue or duo so you don't have to wait too long for it to get tacky maybe about 15 seconds will do. Their really comfortable and feel natural. The band is a little thicker than some other falsies out there but I don't think it makes a huge difference you can barely tell.
The Bad: The style shown in the picture above felt kind of weird on me because they're straight and not curled. Other styles aren't like this though I'm guessing it might just be this one.
Overall: For being a newbie to falsies I really like these and feel that they were really easy to apply. These also were a little short for my eye not as much as the self adhesive ones so I had to adjust them a little further from the corner of my eye so it was even on the outsides. I guess I just have big eyes lol.
If you have any questions about these that I might have left out just let me know!
Requested Look: Sexy for School
This look was requested by my bestie, Rachel. She asked me to come up with a sexy look she can wear to school using browns and golds. I did it 2 ways depending on how long you want to take actually doing it. I know when I was in school I was always trying to come up with fast looks to do even though back then I didn't wear much but yeah. So, here's what I came up with...
This one is the lighter look that took about 10 mintues to do...
Then with an extra 5 mintues I darkened the crease a little bit with another brown and added eyeliner to the waterline...
Products used to get this look:
MAC Paint Pot in Layin' Low
MAC Eyeshadow in Tete-a-Tint
MAC Eyeshadow in Swiss Chocolate
MAC Eyeshadow in Beauty Burst
MAC Eyeshadow in Ricepaper
Loreal HIP Shadow Duo in Gilded (Gold Side)
Loreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara
Hope you like this look Dude!
You'll look totally sexy sittin on FOB hill! hahahha (insider)
Another Mini haul, Swapping and a Love pack!
I know I'm a day late but I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Here's another mini haul from yesterday, I'm such a sucker for makeup removing wipes every time I read or watch a review I want to try another one so I picked up the Target brand wipes that are comparable to Ponds. I also FINALLY got Lash Stiletto! After putting it off every time I seen it I bought it, what convinced me was all the great reviews going around right now...so yeah.
I've been swapping like crazy lately! I decided a little while back to swap for some of the stuff from my sale and I'm so glad I got lots of responses. I got 1 of these Saturday and the other 2 yesterday! The one on the bottom is a Love pack from Jes! Isn't getting packages the best?!
This is what I got from my Swap with the oh so Lovely Lyn. I asked for 5 pigments and she sent me 7! I also got my first Ly-na Cream, I can't wait to use it! She also included some awesome extras! Thank you so much Lyn!!
This is what I got from the Miss Yaya. She sent me 2 L.A. Girl Polishes as well as a Paint and Peel Polish. Aren't the colors so pretty! The extras are awesome too, look at the yummy chocolate and clif bar!! I love the dkny delicous they smell so yummy I have lots and don't mind more and sharing some too! hehe. Thank you Yaya!!
This one is my Love pack from Jes, she sent everyone that entered her contest a little something. I love everything! Aren't those lashes awesome?! I can't wait to use the brush it's my first Mark brush. Thank you so much for everything Jes, you are soooo sweet!!
So, that's pretty much all for now. I'm way behind on my FOTD's. I also have 2 looks to do for requests. So be on the lookout for those!
NOTW, Mini Haul, Surprise and More!
Sorry about the lack of longer posts lately but here's one to catch up a little...
First here's my nails this week, I was going to do some kind of design but after trying a few things and it not working out I just plain painted them. I used L.A.
Girl in Twinkling.
Then I went to Sally's looking for a few things and they didn't have any of it so this is all I picked up...
I've really been into blushes lately, it seems to be what I'm always wanting to buy and these are actually really good for the price!
Also, I was given the opportunity to try out these nail polishes from Sally's and the three below are from the Spring Fantasies Collection that is available now until the end of April so if you like any of these colors definitely check them out!!
Here's some swatches so you get a better idea of what they look like. The formula of these polishes is slightly watery but doesn't streak and goes on evenly, they also dry really fast too!
Last but definitely NOT least. I got this package in the mail last week from the oh so lovely and super sweet Linea. Take a look at what she sent me!!!
Can you believe it?!!! My first red cherry lashes AND The Hello Kitty Popster TLC!!! Ahhh!! We had been talking about it back and forth on Twitter and both wanted to get it but every time I went to a MAC store here they were sold out and it was always sold out on the website so one day she writes me and says that she got it for me and it was on it's way!!! OMG!! I told her she didn't have to but she insisted and Linea you best believe I'm gonna have a surprise coming your way!! hehe. Thank you again!!
Also, I've mentioned before that I wanted to go back to school but couldn't decide what programs to take and all that. So a couple weeks ago I sent off for a packet from MUD or Make-up Designory in Burbank and it really sounds like a great school. I'm planning on taking the full makeup course that includes beauty, character, special effects, studio hairstyling and portfolio development. The program is about 6 months long and I'll have to do housing since I live here in Vegas. That's the part I'm waiting on right now is whether or not I'll be able to afford it and what exactly they offer. But once I hear back I should be starting in June. I really can't wait. I'm kinda sad because it will be the first time I'll be away from my family especially my mom and it's gonna be weird but I gotta grow up sometime! lol Once I hear back from them though I'll definitely keep you all updated.
OK I guess that's it. Have a great weekend everyone!!
Review: Savvy Luminizer Illuminating Powder
What it Claims: Shimmering shades beautifully blend to brighten and accentuate features. For a natural looking, luminous glow sweep all over face and neck to highlight.
Where you can buy it: Only at Sally Beauty Supply (not currently available on the website)
Price: $6.99 or $6.49 with Sally's Card
My Rating: 4 Peace Signs
The Good: The Color I have is Warm Bronze and for my skin tone I find that it's a good bronze not too light and not too brown. All 5 of the color strips come together for a nice even color that is both blend able and build able. You can also use each strip individually for different effects. The shimmer isn't overpowering either just a slight hint. I personally like this for contour just swiping it all the way down through all five colors, I also like to use the top two colors as a highlight. The powder is very smooth not at all chalky.
The Bad: It is possible to overdue it as with any bronzer. Some also like to use bronzers as an all over face color but with this I felt that it made my skin look off, like too many colors at once were going on so it was better to stick to using it as a contour. Other than that I really like this.
Overall: This has become my everyday contour powder I really like the light it gives my face. I would recommend this for darker skin tones, light brown and darker because the brown may be too overpowering for fairer skin tones just in my opinion.
If you have any questions about this product that I might have left out just let me know!
Your Blog Rocks & Honest Things
A HUGE Thank you to Rai , Jen and Makeup Mama for giving me this award!! It really means a lot to me!!
The rules:
1.When you receive this award, show that you're happy to the giver.
2.Nominate at least 5 blogs, that you think rocks.
3.Let them know about award in their post.
4.Now blog like you've never blogged before
You know I LOVE you all and want to give it each and every one of you but yeah... here's my 5:
I also got this award from Tina Marie Thank you Doll! I was tagged by Mrs. Kalia, Thank you Gorgeous!!
“This award is bestowed upon a fellow blogger whose blog’s content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant.
“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!”
10 Honest things about me:
1.) I have a huge love for purses but after awhile I don't like to carry them. I would much rather carry either just my wallet or a clutch/wristlet.
2.) I've never been anywhere past arizona. Which means that I'm dying to get out of here and travel the world.
3.) I'm Filipino, Mexican and part Hawaiian but don't know any of the languages. I wish I did though.
4.) At one time in my life I seriously wanted to be a model. A plus size one at that, so I guess that gives you a little more insight on mee. So of course I loved when Whitney won ANTM! =)
5.) I've never been in love. I did think I was once though.
6.) A couple years ago I went to school for massage therapy and I quit because everything about it grossed me out and I knew I couldn't do it as a career. The worst part was being naked all the time to get your massage and no it wasn't always a good thing since we were just learning it was like having someone push all over your body and nothing more. Massaging feet was also disgusting especially when I got a partner who's feet really stunk and she tried to cover it up with lotion! lol
7.) I can't eat anything with a "squishy" texture like yogurt, jello, cottage cheese, pudding and sometimes oatmeal. It seriously makes me gag and I get grossed out.
8.) I'm lactose intolerant but only since I was 18 before that I had no probs which really sux because I like milk.
9.) I was never baptised because my mom wanted me to choose my religion.
10.) I had braces for 3 years in high school and once I got my retainer I only went to appointments for another couple months until my orthodontist's office closed permanantely and to this day I still wear my retainer because if I don't my teeth start to shift. I guess I should go to another ortho but my teeth are fine as long as I wear it.
Don't you just LOVE surprises?!
I have like THEE best mom! lol Last week when I was making my wish list on polyvore my mom called me while she was at work and I was saying how I was searching for these certain things to add. So yesterday she brought me this bag and this is what was inside...
5 L.A. Girl nail polishes!! The Colors are: Blazing Hot, Twinkling, Bedazzle, Flushed and Tropical. Ahh soo many pretty colors I want to use them all at once! Now I can check those off my wish list! =)
Even at 23 a surprise from my mom makes me happy! lol
Be on the lookout for NOTW's using these!!
Look who got her first shisems and eyeko!
MEE!!
I got both these packages last week when I was sick and they both put a little more sunshine in my days since I felt so horrible.
This one is from Tammy I emailed her asking if she was going to be selling shisem's again since I missed out on her sale and she very sweetly offered to get me some! I only asked for 2 and she included an extra as well as a lippie isn't she awesome?!!
I know I said Thank you alot but here it is again!! =)
Then...I was sad because I didn't email Van in time to buy the eyeko tinted moisturizer and out of nowhere she told me that she got me one and it was on it's way!! She also asked me if I wanted anything else from her sale and I was going to buy some MAC pigments and she sent me those as well as some other goodies. Look at that candle, isn't it the cutest?!
Thank you so much Van and Linea!!! =)
My Entry for Linea's Contest
OK I'm nervous cuz this is the first makeup contest I've ever entered...it's for Linea's contest, it has two parts you can do one or the other or both. I chose to do both, I wanted to put a little more "mee" in it. I had so much fun doing both of these looks, so here's my take...
Pin-Up Neeyuh
A better view of my hair...
A better look at the flower since almost every pic I took seemed to cut it off...
Motorcycle Babe Neeyuh
Ok so with this one I took a whole different route than the norm and I totally think I look like a chola...lol. I searched all over for something leather with no luck so I figured the bandana would be cool. lol.
These first one's are my "hard" looks lol
But I can be happy too!
Review: Sally's Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner
Thank you all so so so much for wishing me well, I totally think it helped me get better faster! Gosh I swear you ladies are THEE best!! I really really appreciate it! =)
Also before you read this review I just wanted to say that I'm pretty much all better now just been trying to catch up on sleep since I didn't get the best while I was sick. I had planned on doing my entries for some contests as my first post back but I decided it would be better if I waited until tomorrow since I still need a few items to complete the looks. Ok on to the review...
What it Claims:
-Shea butter softens and moisturizes
-Smooths hair and battles frizz
-Provides shine
-Leaves hair manageable
Infused with Shea butter, Sally Hydrating Shampoo restores a healthy, shiny glow. Manage frizz and leave hair healthy looking while adding moisture to overworked, thirsty hair.
Regenerate dull, overworked locks with Sally Hydrating Conditioner for a glowing, healthy look. Specially formulated with Shea butter to combat dry hair.
Sizes available: 12oz. for both
Other products in this line include: Gel and Glosser
Where you can buy it: Only at Sally's Beauty Supply and Sallybeauty.com
Price: $4.99 each or $4.49 each with Sally's Card
My Rating: 4 peace signs
The Good: If your hair is affected by the weather like mine then you know during the winter months and coming into spring that your hair takes a beating. This shampoo really saved my hair from being dry, dull and on really bad days brittle (only the ends though). The formula is really moisturizing, isn't heavy at all and has a nice smell.
The Bad: For my hair type (oily scalp, dry ends) I couldn't use these on a daily basis because it would over-hydrate my hair and cause my scalp to become overly oily so I had to switch it to either every other day or every few days to balance out my hair. I think that if you don't have the oily problem like I do this shampoo and conditioner can be an everyday usage for you.
Overall: I really do like this shampoo and conditioner, I have seen a difference in my hair nothing huge but I can see that my hair is in better shape from using these than before. So if this shampoo and conditioner sound like something you've been looking for then definitely check these out!
If you have any questions about these that I might have left out just let me know!!
Not feeling too good...
First I wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you ladies that commented on my last post. You all made me feel so awesome with all of your kind words, I got all warm and fuzzy inside! lol. I was blown away at how many of you commented it really means a lot to me because I'm so not confident about my makeup sometimes and you all make me feel better about it. I love you all!! =)
Sorry for the lack of posts lately but the day after I posted the FOTD I got sick, well it was more like a sinus infection and you all know what goes along with that. I was upset about it too because my plan was do a week full of FOTD/EOTD's but it just didn't happen. As soon as I'm all better though I will, so if anyone has any requests on a look you would like to see let me know! Until then...
