Quickie Review: Sinful Colors base coat

Details:

-Toluene, formaldehyde, DBP and camphor free
-Price: $1.99
-Where you can buy it: Walgreens and certain Targets carry this brand

Pros:

-Dries quickly
-Covers well
-Spreads easily

Cons:

-Very thin and watery

Overall:

I've been using this base coat for quite a few months now and it's really good. I wouldn't say it's my HG because I prefer a sticky base coat and this one is more smooth but it does the job. For the price I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

If you have any questions on anything I might have left out, please let me know!

Project 10 pan: two month update

Hey everyone!!

I hope you're all having a great weekend!

I had totally forgotten that a few days ago I hit two months of being on project 10 pan. This past month was another busy one for me so I didn't get through what I wanted to but it's okay, I was hoping to be done with everything since my no buy ends on June 1st.

Just to recap, these are the orginal 10 products:

In my first month I finished the Rimmel fix and perfect primer, Loreal collagen mascara, Watermelon lipsmackers, Strawberry Chapstick and Clean&Clear dual action moisturizer.

Now on to the products I finished this month:

-MAC technakohl liner in Graphblack
-C.O. Bigelow Cinnamint lip shine
-Lush Tea tree water toner *not on the list*

So, as you can see I only have three items left to finish plus I'm still finishing other products that I already had. I'll be trying really hard to get through the last three because on June 12th I'm going on vacation and I know I'm going to be buying lots of stuff including makeup.

Have any of you recently started a project 10 pan or no buy?

NOTW: Dreamy Poppy

Hello my beautiful readers!!

It's time again for my nails of the week.

I was browsing through my nail polishes(which take up a good size container) and noticed that I have quite a few pinks. They are all pretty much different shades but mostly hot pinks. I always find myself gravitating toward the hot pinks whenever I see polish displays at stores but I guess I didn't know I had so many! lol

Anyways, after that I thought I'll give those bright pinks a rest and go for this pretty shade of pink instead(excuse my cuticles they haven't been cooperating lately):

In person it's a much lighter pink with coral/orange than the picture shows and it's such a gorgeous color!

I used:

-Sinful Colors base coat (review coming very soon!)
-Wet N Wild, Wild Shine in Dreamy Poppy 429D
-Seche Vite fast dry top coat

I remember doing a post a long long time ago saying how I really didn't like this polish because it chipped so fast but now that I have a good top coat it lasts a long time!

Have you given a polish a second chance and found out it's better the second time around?

This post is long long LONG overdue!

This was requested by Rai and Lyn also wanted to see my collection so I finally got around to doing it. Sorry this took me SO long. If you follow me on Twitter that you know I was having probs with the format of my videos and it wouldn't import into windows movie maker, so maybe I'll try it again another time and post a video then. My collection isn't huge but it works for me, plus I'm always giving stuff I don't use to my bestie or cousins lol.

Now on to the pictures!

One way I use Smith's Rosebud Salve

Hey everyone!

Just a quick post sharing a way I use Rosebud salve besides as a lip balm.

If you've been to Lush and they did the hand treatment on you than this will sound familiar, since that's where I got the idea only I'm using products I already had.

I like to use Rosebud salve as part of the hand treatment. To do this you'll also need a body scrub or a facial scrub will work too and a good thick moisturizer.

Take a good dallop of the salve and rub it all over your hands really working it in, once that feels good and soaked in get the same amount of the scrub and work that in as well really getting in between your fingers and also your knuckles. Rinse your hands with warm water and dry. Now apply the moisturizer and TADA Soft hands!! :D

What ways do you use Rosebud Salve?

Review: Victoria's Secret total makeup remover

Hey everyone!!

Awhile back Chrissy commented and wanted to know how this makeup remover worked so I did a formal review on it now that I've been using it for a few months.

What it Claims: Take it off. This gentle, dual-action formula gently removes makeup from lids, lashes, lips and all over the face while leaving skin refreshed and silky soft.

VS tip: Shake well, then saturate cotton pad and glide over skin until all traces of makeup are removed.

Price: $8 for 4 fl.oz

Where you can buy it: Only at Victoria's Secret stores, I can't seem to find it on their site.

My Rating: 5++ Peace signs

The good: This is definitely my favorite makeup remover! It takes off eye makeup extremely fast and well. It breaks down eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara very well. You do have to shake it to activate but it doesn't leave an oily residue on your skin at all. It leaves a sort of fresh clean feeling on your skin. I don't use it to remove foundation but I did try it and it removed all my face makeup throughly. I also like that you don't have to use a ton at one time so this bottle does last a good while even if you wear a full face everyday.

The bad:  If you're like me and have extrememly oily lids and you have to wear two eye shadow bases than this remover doesn't break them both down very well. Personally after everything else is removed my lids feel sticky since there's still primer left over and even after going over it another time it's still there so I end up just using my face wash to get it all off. (BUT if you don't have to wear two bases it does just fine removing the one)

Overall: I LOVE it!! I would definitely recommend giving it a try, it may sound pricey for a makeup remover but it really does last.

If you have any questions on something I might have left out or further details on this products please let me know!

*This is just MY opinion/experience with this product. It may or may not work the same for you, you never know!*

Tag: What's in your medicine cabinet??

Hello my lovely readers!!

I was tagged a few weeks ago by Tammy, thank you for the tag pretty lady!!

As soon as I seen the subject, I thought "how cool!" this is definitely a tag I'm sure lots of people wonder about because some people keep interesting things in their medicine cabinets. I don't have an actual cabinet it's more of a shelf unit and it's more packed with beauty products than anything "juicy" lol. So here it is:

So as you can see the top row is just mostly essentials, first aid stuff and vitamins. The bottom shelf has hair stuff, nails stuff and more little essential things. Not too exciting lol! So there everyone's peek into my medicine cabinet!

I'm tagging:

Linea
Rai
Lyn
Van
Sofia

Swatches: Wet N Wild mega last lip colors

Hey Everyone!

Happy Cinco de Mayo to those who celebrate! :)

I just wanted to do a quick post showing swatches of two of the Wet N Wild mega last lip colors I have.

I would definitely recommend trying these lipsticks out, they have a large selection of colors and are totally affordable!

Bare it all (902C) and Think Pink (901B):

This one is definitely my fave! (Sorry it's a little sloppy I was taking these kinda fast) Think Pink:

Bare it all:

I wished bare it all looked as pretty as it does in this swatch all the time because in normal lighting or sunlight it's way too brown on me.

I plan on getting more colors once my no buy is over.

Have you tried these lipsticks? Do you plan to?

April faves

Hey everyone!

I'm back with my fave products for the month of April.

It was a pretty busy month for me so I don't have many but here they are:

L to R:

-Clean and Clear finishes pore perfecting moisturizer. I LOVE this moisturizer! It keeps my skin matte for almost the whole day and sometimes I don't have to use a foundation primer which is great because it's usually a must for me.

-MAC custom quad with eyeshadow colors Llama, Woodwinked, Texture and Brown Script. This quad has been my go to the past month since I can do different looks in a short time.

-Nivea a kiss of shine natural glossy lip care. This is so moisturizing and leaves a pretty pink shine on your lips too, I find myself wearing this instead of other lips colors lately.

-Soap & Glory hair supply hair mask treatment. Right now this is my favorite hair mask, it moisturizes and smells really great too! I also notice that the affects last much longer than other masks I've used.

-Icing nail polish in Johnny Awesome. I've always loved this bright pink polish but it's been my go to polish almost the whole month of april, it's such a fun girly color!

-Bath and Body Works body lotion in Country Apple. The one in the pic isn't the one I was using since it's finished but it was what I used a lot last month, country apple is one of my fave scents so I couldn't get enough!

So, that's everything! What was something you were loving in April?

Take care loves!
