Review: Maybelline define-a-brow eyebrow pencil

What it claims:

-Evenly defines and grooms brows

-Blends easily with brow hair

-Waterproof for all day wear

-Safe for sensitive eyes

-Contact lens safe

-ophthalmologist tested

Expert application tips: Swivel up on full turn to expose point. Using thin hair-like strokes, glide liner along your natural brow line. use attached comb to blend color and groom brow hair.

Price: $5.50-$6.00

Where you can buy it: Wal-mart, Target, Ulta, K-mart and anywhere else Maybelline products are sold.

My Rating: 5 Peace signs

The Good: I've tried quite a few different drug store brand eyebrow pencils and this one by far is my favorite. I personally use the #642 dark brown and I find it's just about a spot on match if you use it with light strokes and blend afterward. The staying power is really great also being someone with oily skin getting eyebrow color to stay isn't always the easiest but this stays! The thing I like the most about this is how thin the actual pencil is, that way you have more control over how much color is going on and how big or small of an area you cover at one time. I don't really like the pencils that are the same size as eyeliners because it can deposit too much color or be too harsh so this pencil is ideal for me.

The Bad: The only thing I can really say bad about this is that the comb thing on the end of the pencil is pretty much useless, it doesn't help you blend and it's angled weird so there's really no point in having it on there but that's just me.

Overall: I would definitely recommend this! It has become my favorite eyebrow pencil and you can't beat the price!

Any questions? Let me know!

Weekend FOTD

Hey everyone!!

I hope you're all having a great weekend, yesterday I went shopping and did a small haul that I'll post later and today I'm watching football with my fam bam.

Anyways, I wanted to share a look I wore both yesterday and today it's just a fast look using 2 eye shadows so yeah. I'm still really liking the no eyeliner in the waterline look, it's just been easier not worrying if it's running or smudging.

Here's a full face pic with a sexy hair going around the side of my eye lol

I'm not sure why these eye pics are so bright since it was getting dark when I took them and it washes out the color a bit. I also think I look a little crossed eyed hahaha

Products used:

Rebekah eye shadow from the Kat Von D True Love Palette

MAC eye shadow in Llama

Loreal carbon black lineur intense

Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara

Maybelline define-a-brow in dark brown

MAC eyebrow wax in Clear

Urban Decay complexion primer potion in Pore perfecting

MAC studio fix powder

Sally girl blush in C-ya

Nivea a kiss of moisture lip balm

Mark gloss blossom ripening lip tint

I LOVE the Kat Von D palette! I don't know why I didn't get it sooner!

If you have any questions or anything on this look don't hesitate to ask!

Review: Sally Hansen hair remover wax strip kit

Hey Everyone! Van asked on my mini haul post how these wax strips were so I thought I would do a review to share. So, here it is. Hope you like!

What it claims: Nothing works quicker or lasts longer. Three simple steps. Pre-waxed strips, pre-cut for underarms, legs and body. Removes even stubborn hair for up to 8weeks. No microwave, no mess. Regrowth is less noticeable.

-European salon formula with soothing bisabolol
-Works on short hair
-Helps slow the appearance of regrowth
-Salon tested
-Dermatologist tested.

Directions:
-Warm strip in hands
-Separate double sided strips
-Press on, pull off

Where you can buy it:
Walmart, Target, Kmart, Walgreens, CVS and anywhere else Sally Hansen products are sold.

Price:
$4.50-$6.50

My Rating:
5 Peace signs

The Good
: I LOVE these! I've been using them for about 8 years now and it's the only ones I'll use. I personally just use them for my eyebrows but it comes with 3 different size strips that can be used for other areas as well. The kit also includes an azulene finishing oil that removes the access wax and conditions the area. I follow the directions above but I add an extra step that really helps get a better result. Before heating it up in my hands I cut the strips in a sort of half moon shape that fits right under my brow, that way it gets all the little hairs. The strips are also large enough to get the full area but you can cut them down if they're too big. If you heat up the strips long enough in your hands you just need to press it down a few times along the whole area and then wait a minute for it to really set and grab on to all the hairs and pull it off. You can see right on the strip what you pulled off. For me I'm always amazed at the results. I have gotten my brows done at the salon and these strips do just as good.

The Bad:
I honestly can't find anything bad about this product but as far as regrowth goes it's different for everyone so since this product claims results up to 8 weeks I wouldn't say that's completely true.

Overall:
These are definitely a must have for me! I would recommend them if you want a cheaper way keep up with your eyebrows (or other areas you might wanna wax).

If you have any questions on something I might have left out, let me know!
