Update&Neeyuh's Tip//Trick of the week

First I wanted to say sorry for being kinda mia lately...I was busy over the weekend and I got a really bad allergic reaction to some mascara so I haven't been able to wear makeup...SUX! It should be all healed soon though cuz I still want to do all these looks for you but yeah. So for now here's my tip//trick for this week:

I'm sure some of you already know this it's pretty basic but still good to share. This one is going to be about extending the life of your eyelash curler. I don't know if it's just me but I can't stand having to buy a new lash curler every so often or when you do buy a new one it only comes with one or sometimes no extra pads.

So this is what I do...about every couple weeks or when I see that my lash curler has a lot of gunk buildup from mascara and what not I clean it. First I take out the little pad, get a dish or small container and put some makeup remover in it then place the pad in it to soak. While that is soaking I take a makeup wipe and wipe the whole lash curler from top to bottom and especially the part where it almost sits against your eye and inside the little part where the pad goes. Take the pad out from soaking and still with the makeup wipe just take off everything on it and let it dry. For a little extra sanitization I spray some rubbing alcohol all over the lash curler and pad and let it dry, then put it back together and your good to go!

For me this is like making it brand new, it works so much better after a good cleaning!

If any of you try this let me know and tell me how it worked for you!

OMG @ your above first commenter! You should always disinfect tools that go near your eyes!

I always clean mine after a few uses.

I can get bad cases of pink eye.

What mascara was this?

You know..on my wedding reception, i dont know WHAT mascara or liner I used but it irritated my eyes SO bad that I actually had to go WASH off all my eye makeup and wear glasses that night. YES! ON MY PARTY NIGHT!

Hope your eyes are better. =)))

@Kalila-Thu - wow, on your wedding party night? That totally sucks!! :(

To the OP, good tips! I don't really use my lash curler much so I'm just going to toss it, buy a new one and take better care of it.

Thanks for the tip, I don't clean my curler as often as I should or just actually replace it. What mascara did you use?

Thanks for the tip. I hate the annoying gump from mascara and eyeliner buildup on my curlers too, but most times I just use a tissue or qtip to wipe it away, but I should probably clean it your way more often!

I do this often!
I always curl my lashes before mascara, but I've notice that it gets this black gunk on it that I have no idea where it comes from (maybe my sister?) but I still make sure to clean it regularly.

I don't exactly do it that way but I do take rubbing alcohol and spray the shit down, then wipe, and take out the pad before I do. It does work soo much better afterwards! Dunno why though..

i usually clean mine after each use or at least weekly. I use a cotton swab and it does a great job, looks like new every time.
