Review: Clean&Clear soothing eye makeup remover

What it claims: Gently conditions as it dissolves long-wear eye makeup. Its oil-free formula, infused with a combination of cucumber extracts and aloe vera, soothes and refreshes the delicate skin around the eyes.

- Powerful eye makeup remover that won't strip away moisture from the delicate skin around the eyes.
- Oil-free
- Gentle enough for daily use

Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Benzyl Alcohol, Dipropylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium chloride, Poloxamer 182, Tripotassium EDTA, Benzalkonium Chloride, Allantoin, Dipotassium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate, Propylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract

Price: $6.99-$7.99 (depending on where you purchase it)

Where to buy it: Target, Walmart, Kmart, Ulta and anywhere else Clean&Clear products are sold.

My Rating: 3.5 Peace Signs

The Good: I really like that it doesn't leave an oily residue on my skin which if you looked at the product you would think it might since it's one that is separated and needs to be shaken to activate. The formula breaks down eye shadows very well. I also don't feel the need to tug or rub excessively hard to remove eyeliner in my waterline or lower lash line. It does what it claims as far as conditioning goes, the skin around my eyes feels very soft afterwards.

The Bad: This is part of the make-up dissolving line and I wouldn't say it dissolves anything because I find you have to use quite a bit of product to thoroughly remove everything, especially mascara. Also if you wear waterproof mascara this will definitely leave a good amount of it on your lashes so you'll have to fight to really get it off and you don't want that!

Overall: This isn't my favorite but isn't completely terrible either. It does just about everything it claims but for the price and the amount you have to use each time doesn't really balance out for me.

*This is only my opinion/experience with this product, it may or may not work the same for you. You never know*

Let's talk LUSH!

I wanted to do a post dedicated to Lush well only some skincare items that I LOVE. Each one has made a huge difference in my skin.

I personally only like their skincare items. I'm not much of a bath taking person so that's why I skip their soap, bath bombs and all that.

So, to give some of you a better idea of the products I use here's some descriptions from the lush site and my take on them.

Coalface cleanser: If you love the feeling of squeaky clean skin, this is the bar for you. We put in powdered charcoal because it's such an amazing exfoliator and absorber of excess oils. We add in rosewood and sandalwood as a balance to soothe and calm, and softening licorice root decoction. We recommend this lathering, sparkly cleansing bar for oiler skin because it's so great at absorbing excess oils and leaving your skin feeling fresh and clean.

My thoughts: I was very leery about this at first because in the past my skin didn't react well to bar soaps so I always stuck to liquid or foam cleansers. I personally cut it into small pieces, wet it, work it into my hands a little bit then rub it all over my face. The feeling and the smell took a little getting used to as well as how my skin felt after cleansing. It has a grainy feeling until you rub it in more and it breaks up. The smell is strong like black licorice but after awhile you don't really notice anymore. The feeling after is that dry almost squeaky feeling but when I dry my face off it doesn't have that tight feeling I expected. I use a toner afterwards and sometimes cleansers can still leave behind dirt that you'll see on the cotton pad but with this there is no dirt at all left on my skin. I also really like how you can get as much or as little as you want if you go to the store. When I purchased mine I went for the recommended size which was 1/4 lb. for $14.00 and in 4 months of night and day use I still haven't gone through half so it's definitely worth the price compared to how often I was buying other cleansers.

Tea Tree Water Toner: Ah the wonders of tea tree – it's mostly known for its cleansing properties, but is also great for soothing troubled skin. We add a bit of juniperberry and grapefruit to the tea tree to refresh and tone your skin. It won't leave your face feeling tight and dry because we don't use any alcohol in our toners; just fine essential oils to soothe and cleanse. Use this throughout the day to help banish your blemishes and lift your spirits!

My thoughts: When I first started to use this I was thinking ok it's not exactly like any other toners so what do I do? With other toners I would swipe it over my face but this didn't work like that because it's more of a refresher spray. I spray it on right before I moisturize and it seems to be doing the trick. Since tea tree is a natural antiseptic, I also use it on days when I'm not wearing make-up to remove any yucky stuff that may be on my skin (this is like in between cleansing times). It has a really fresh smell that I like also.

Grease Lightening: The UK LUSH shop managers and the manufacturing team were challenged to come up with a new product idea. The winning team came up with this super effective tea tree, rosemary and witch hazel gel, a spot cleanser for acne-prone skin. Dab on a tiny bit (with a clean finger) of this wonderful gel and you'll feel it working straight away. Use it on one spot or many and watch them shrivel up and retire. Go Greased Lightning!

My thoughts: This is my favorite of them all! It's suggested to be a spot treatment but can also be used as an all over toner. No joke if you see a blemish coming you put this on after cleansing/toning/moisturizing and the next morning it's GONE or completely dried out. This also helps with little red spots that can show up on certain areas of the face. It's a gel type of consistency and a little goes a long way. It feels a little weird when it dries but it's just doing it's job. I just can't say enough good stuff about this, it is LOVE!

So, those three products are my skin life savers. I did try a few products before or while I was using these that didn't work so well but I'm so glad I have a set routine that's working.

If you have any questions on any of these that I might have left out, just let me know!

Weekend recap

Hello my beautiful readers!!

Just wanted to say really quick that this is a non make-up related post so yeah...

I hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did, my sister came down from San Diego to visit. I missed her so much and we had a lot of fun. I didn't take as many pictures as I should so a run down will do. First on friday night after she got in we ate dinner at Joe's crab shack. If you love seafood and can't decide I totally recomend the fishermans platter! It had calmari, fried shimp, fish fillets, great balls of fire and french fries. It was huge so me and my cousin shared, so good!

Saturday we went and visited some fam and we all went to eat at the Spice market buffet in the Planet Hollywood casino. I really liked it and they had a great selection of different things that aren't at the usual buffets. They even had someone making cotton candy at the dessert section! To walk our food off we looked around and did a little bit of shopping at the mircle mile shops also in the casino.

Sunday was her last day here so we ran around all morning getting a few last things done before heading over to the chinese new year celebration at china town. Every year my cousin's hula/tahitian dance group performs so I did get a few pictures of that as well. I did want to share a few pictures of china town itself just to show everyone what it looks like here.

Ok now on to the pics I took.

This is the dragon dance, before they do this they have someone paint the eye of the dragon to wake him up.

My cousin dancing an otea, she's the last one all the way to the right.

The boys doing the fijian dance.

That was pretty much it since it was the only times I really stood still otherwise I was running around like crazy.

So, that was my weekend!

Mini walgreens haul

Hello my gorgeous readers!

This is going to be my last haul post for awhile because I have so much make-up and beauty products that I need to get to and buying more on top of it isn't helping me get through it all. So, I've decided to do project 10 pan. If you haven't heard of it, it's where you pick 10 products to use up and you can't buy anything until those are done. I also need to watch my spending and save money right now anyways so this will really help.

But yeah, on to the haul...

L to R:

TheFaceShop sheet mask in Pearl

TheFaceShop sheet mask in fresh fruit lemon

Sinful Colors base coat

If you would like a review on any of these just let me know!

My January Faves

It's Superbowl Sunday everyone!

I know some of you already know this about me but if you don't then I'll just say, I LOVE football! Even though I'm very much a girly girl I still have a little bit of a tomboy side. I know not everyone likes sports so I'll spare you my thoughts for the game lol.

So, I wanted to share my January faves. I had planned on doing a video for this but it didn't work out so that's why this post is so late. If you all like these type of posts I'll definitely keep doing them every month, so let me know!

On to the products...

Top row Lto R:

1. Mark glossblossom ripening lip tint. This is compared to the Smashbox O-gloss but way cheaper and I love it! Not sticky at all.

2. MAC lustreglass in Love Nectar. I put this on top of the glossblossom and it's the perfect pair for a nice pink lip!

3. Kat Von D Palette in True Love. I have used this SO much especially the third color from the left called Rebekah, it's the prettiest shimmery brown.

4. Maybelline define-a-brow eyebrow pencil. It's considered a dupe for the MAC eyebrow pencils since it has the same applicator, it's very precise so you can fill in little by little for the perfect brow.

5. MAC clear eyebrow wax. I use this as a sort of primer for my brows, it keeps the hairs in place and the color on.

Bottom row L to R:

6. Maybelline lash stiletto mascara. This really lengthens my lashes and never clumps.

7. Shu Uemura eyelash curler. I didn't know what the hype was until I finally purchased it. My stubborn straight lashes now stay perfectly curled all day long.

8. Nivea a kiss of moisture lip balm. This is a really light and moisturizing formula, I love the applicator as well!

9. Burt's bees lemon butter cuticle cream. I have dry hands and that leads to dry cuticles which are not cute so this helps out a lot. It's moisturizing and smells great too.

10. China Glaze polish in Spontaneous. I wore this polish for 3 weeks straight (re-applying every week of course!) that's how much I love it! It's the prettiest purple cream.

11. Seche Vite fast dry top coat. Hands down the BEST top coat I have ever used! Dries polish extremely fast and helps it last a lot longer.

L to R:

12. Garnier Fructis 3 minute undo dryness reversal treatment. I use this as my weekly deep conditioner. It makes my hair SO soft and has made a difference with my split ends also.

13. Queen Helene mint julep natural facial scrub. This is my twice a week exfoliator, it has very fine grains so it isn't too harsh but does the job of removing the dead skin. It has a minty tingle that really refreshes your face.

14. Bath and Body Works anti-bacterial moisturizing hand lotion. This is one of the best hand lotions for me, it keeps my hands moisturized all day long and the fact that it smells great and removes germs all at the same time is a huge plus!

15. MAC naked honey skin salve. It is my hand savior! (Thank you Linea!) I apply it at night all over my hands then put some gloves on. In the morning I wash it off and my hands are smoother than smooth.

That's everything! If you have any questions on anything, ask away!

I really need to stop but I know I wont...

Hello my beauties!!

First I wanted to say a big big thank you to all my followers new and old, you keep me going!

I've been hauling a lot lately (well for me atleast) and I seriously need to slow down since there's so many products I've yet to use but anyways here's some pics of my latest pick ups.

First up is Lush, I'm on a serious lush kick. I'm always on the site or watching reviews on YouTube and I finally got around to going to the store last weekend.

This is what I got:

L to R:

I love juicy shampoo
Honey trap lip balm
Greased lightening spot cleanser
Tea tree toner tab
Sample of lemony flutter cuticle butter
Sample of Veganese conditioner

Next is my small Sally's haul:

L to R:

Beauty Secrets polish thinner
Orly nail lacquer in Purple Crush
China glaze polish in For Audrey (I finally found it!!)

Next items I got both from Target, one I ordered online the other I got in store.

The first item:

Soap and Glory Soaper Heroes set.

It includes:

Clean on me (skin softening shower gel)
Flakeaway (body scrub)
Righteous butter (body butter)
Girligo (moisturizing body mist)
Hair supply (hair repair mask)

I first heard about this from Rai and after reading her post I pretty much searched every Target around and couldn't find it. So, I went on the site and there it was! $9.99 for 5 products is an amazing deal! They are travel sized but still have plenty of product. Thank you for that post Rai, this set is really great!

On one of those trips to Target I picked this up:

Rimmel volume max mascara in Extreme black

So, that's everything! If you have any questions or want a review on something, let me know!!

Have a great weekend!

NOTW: Punki Pink & New blog "look"

Hey my gorgeous readers!!

First I wanted to ask you how you like my semi new blog look. I just changed the banner and some of the colors. I wanted to do a major layout revamp but I didn't want to lose everything so maybe I'll do that another time. I also made a little signature for the end of my posts. Let me know what you think!

So, it's time for my nails of the week again, it's been awhile since I posted one because I loved china glazes spontaneous so much I wore it again last week. I was in the mood for something bright and fun so I went with this hot pink. It's also a sort of valentine-y color and since today is the first day of February I thought it went! I first seen this color on one of sccastenada's YT videos and had to have it! The consistency of the polish is thin and streaky so I didn't like that which is a shame because the color is really pretty. There's a yellow tint on my nails in the picture because it's a neon so it was hard for the camera to really pick up.

I used:

L.A. Colors base coat, Nina pro colors in Punki pink and Seche vite fast dry top coat
