Review: Boots Botanics soothing eye makeup remover

I have previously posted about what I use for makeup removal but even though I was still trying other products and thought I would post about them in case anyone might have been interested in trying them.

What it Claims: (taken from the bootsus website) To keep the delicate skin around the eye in good condition it's important to remove makeup thoroughly and gently. The soothing cleanser effortlessly removes eye makeup, even waterproof mascara. The oil phase of the product removes the makeup while the Iceland moss extract helps to hydrate and calm the skin. Suitable for even the most sensitive of skin.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water, Eau); Cyclopentasiloxane; Isohexadecane; Cyclohexasiloxane; Butylene Glycol; Propylene Glycol; Methylparaben; Sodium Citrate; Benzophenone-4; 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol; Sorbitol; Cetraria Islandica Extract; Phenoxyethanol; Butylparaben; Ethylparaben; Isobutylparaben; Propylparaben; CI 19140 (Yellow 5); CI 42090 (Blue 1)

Price: $5.99

Where to buy it: Target and CVS

My Rating: 2.5 peace signs

The Good: With just one swipe across my eyelid most of the eye makeup was gone! It surprised me at first because I haven't had much luck with the half oil formula's of removers, but it still worked pretty good. Here are some pictures to show you the process...

My eye before:

Cotton pad with remover before. Cotton pad after...pretty nasty!

My eye after:

The Bad: As you can see in the after pic all the eyeliner on my waterline didn't come off, I was starting to have to sort of scrub it off and my eyes were getting irritated so I left it alone. To me that's the kind of make it or break it for me, the remover has to get off the eyeliner on my waterline or I don't really like it. I also had to work it for awhile to get all the mascara off. It says that it's soothing but I didn't feel any difference in it than any other remover.

Overall: It's an OK product. I was expecting a lot more because other reviews raved about it but it didn't do all I had wished it did so I guess I'm on to the next remover...

**Just MY experience and opinion of this product, you never know YOU could love it!**

I won!

A HUGE Thank You toToma! I won her giveaway for the Sally girl quad's. I really wanted to try these so as soon as I got the e-mail notifying me as one of the winners I was sooo excited and couldn't wait to recieve them. On to the pictures...

The cute little package that totally made me smile as soon as I seen it...and yes that's how you actually spell my name, I just like to spell it Neeyuh because it's easier to pronounce.

What was inside. She also included 2 Jesse's girl eye dust samples, sooooooo sweet of her! I can't wait to also try those.

I just HAD to share! I'll be doing a review on the quads soon that will include swatches and more so be on the lookout for that.

Black and Blue

Not really, just an eye look I came up with. I was EXTREMELY bored one night and needed to do something to clear my mind, so as always I turned to makeup. I only did one eye because I was doing something for another post with the other eye. So here it is...

The flash washed it out a little

I guess I couldn't tell that there was fallout...lol.

Products used:

UDPP

MAC Steamy on lid and on lower lashline

Shimmery black from ELF smokey quad on crease and outer v

MAC Rose Blanc as highlight

I'm not as good as I'd like to be and I'm constantly trying to learn new things, I'm totally addicted to youtube tutorials. So, if anyone has any feedback about what I'm doing good or bad I would appreciate it, it only helps me. Thank you if you do!

a quick update...

Ok so it's moving time for mee(to my new house that is). Our cable is going to be turned off monday and it won't be back on for a few days after, but with unpacking and all I most likely won't be on for a little. So, I've spent a couple hours today putting together some scheduled posts that will be up every couple days next week.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend and an awesome week to follow, can't wait to be back on and catch up on everyone's blogs!

=)

More ELF

I've been trying to save my money so my makeup purchases have been few if any but when I seen this deal I couldn't pass it up. I went back to Food 4 Less because Jessica Dee mentioned in a comment that her local Food 4 Less had NYX lipsticks for $.99 so I wanted to see if mine did as well. No luck with that but they were having a 10/$5 sale on the whole ELF line and it was pretty bare so this was what I picked up from it...

Brow gloss & Clear mascara duo, 4 eyeshadow brushes, Definition brush, Crease/blender brush, Defining eye quad in smokey and Nail polishes in Dark red and Berry pink.

Just thought I would share and I just have to say I really LOVE the eyeshadow brushes they come in handy when all your other brushes are dirty, lol.

Good News!!

Ok so for those of you who read my post about my whole finding a new place situation....We FINALLY found a place and we get the keys on the 22nd. That whole week we're gonna move things little by little and then the weekend of the 27th we're gonna move all the rest. I'm sooo excited and relieved at the same time that something finally came up, I was really worried that we weren't going to find a place at one point. So, I most likely will be m.i.a either that week or the week after until our cable gets switched over. But before that I still have posts I'm planning on doing like my Urban Decay eyeliner experiment. I keep trying to do it and then forget to take pictures as the day goes on. lol. Ok well I just thought I would share the news with you all.

Take care everyone!!

Elf nail polish

I know I already made a post about my favorite nail polish but I have another one to add to my list. I was looking on the elf site just browsing and seen their nail polishes and thought they looked promising so I added the colors I wanted in my cart and then all of a sudden thought I would see if there were any retailers here in my town and luckily there was, to my suprise it was a grocery store we have called Food 4 Less and it wasn't too far from my house. So, I went down and they had a slightly limited selection and only had about half the colors so here's the ones I picked up...

Light Red,Fluorescent Pink,Burgandy and Coral

On the package it says it's color lock technology creates a chip resistant shield for long lasting color. It's infused with Vitamin E for stronger, healthier nails. It is also toluene free, formaldehyde free and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) free.

To me the formula is just great, it's really smooth and has the right consistency. It spreads really easy and also dries pretty fast. The square top took me a little to get used to since I'm used to round ones but it helps when you're actually painting because it gives you a little more precision. So, if you're on the look out for a good, cheap nail polish I definately suggest these! Check out the website here and you can also see if they have a retailer in your area.

Here's my nails, I used Light Red
I had a couple tiny goof ups as you can see but I really like how they came out. It's only been a day and there's still no signs of cracking or chipping, definate plus!

Have a awesome weekend everyone! =]

Liplicious

I recently went into Bath and Body works just to pick up some hand soap that was on sale but they also just started a new sale called the stock up sale so everything is buy 3 get one free. I knew I had to finally get the Liplicious I'd been eyeing for months now. They didn't have all flavors/colors so these are the ones I picked up...

L-R: Watermelon Sorbet, Pineapple Juice, Fresh Mulberry and Fruit Punch.

Swatches:
Pineapple juice, Watermelon Sorbet, Fruit Punch and Fresh Mulberry.

As you can see their all pretty sheer, fruit punch and mulberry have a little more pigment and they all contain shimmer, some more than others. So you kind of have to watch how much you put on because your lips will look like you stuck them in a jar of glitter, lol. Pineapple juice has the most from what I can see. They all really taste like their names, I mean I guess mulberry tastes like it even though I've never tasted mulberry before lol. The pinks all look pretty similar but they look different on, they each give your lips a different hue. So far I'm really liking these!

Have any of you ladies tried these?
