I'm in LOVE with...

EDIT: ADDED SWATCHES.

The C.O. Bigelow mentha lip products from Bath and Body Works. They are really moisturizing and healing if you tend to get chapped lips. Since they have the mint factor they make your lips feel tingly, I really like that. I first started using the cinnamint lip shine about a year ago and fell in love and I recently bought the lip tints they do everything the cinnamint did except they add color. The three I have are just subtle colors on me since my lips are slightly pigmented.

L-R: Pink Mint, Coral Mint, Magenta Mint and Cinnamint

EDIT: Swatches in same order as above.
(Sorry they started to run before I got a good pic)

All of them are pretty sheer and super shiny. The coral mint has a slight shimmer and the magenta has a really pretty pink tint to it. They also work really well under lipstick if you don't mind the extra shine. I just can't say enough good stuff about these.

Right now they are on sale buy 2 get one free, so that's 3 for $14.50. Sounds like a good deal to me!

Do any of you ladies use these? What do you think of them??

Hair Products

So I thought I would share with everyone my fav hair products and what I use them for. I don't have a fav shampoo/conditioner at the moment since I'm still on look for one so this is just styling products.

L-R: Big Sexy hair spray &play, Beyond the Zone Split end mender leave in cond., Bed Head After Party, Big sexy hair blow dry volumizing gel, VO5 Heat Tamer spray.

Bottom:Salon Grafix freezing hair spray in mega hold and Pantene texture and shine defining pomade.

Ok so I'll go in order of the picture. The big sexy hair spray and play, I usually only use it when I wear my hair all down (which is somewhat rare) and want it to be big and look volumized. It works really well for my hair I can just tease it, spray that on and in seconds it's dry and stays perfect, I love it!!

Beyond the Zone Split end mender leave in cond. I heard about this from pursebuzz awhile back and decided to try it. I blow dry and straighten my hair almost everyday and before I used this I never realized how dry my hair was getting. I apply this when my hair is still damp and only to my ends, if I do whole head it makes my hair get greasy really fast. That would be my only con with this one, other than that it really has helped my hair stay smooth.

Bed Head After Party. Let me just say...I LOVE THIS STUFF! I use it after styling to get rid of those stubborn fly aways and it gives my hair a really soft yet volumized look to it. I have a problem with certain products making my hair look and feel greasy, but this doesn't do any of that and that is a major plus for me. It also smells amazing.

Big sexy hair blow dry volumizing gel. This stuff really does give my hair volume not a ton but it does. A little goes a long way so I just use about a dime size and run it mostly through the hair on the crown of my head. I blow dry with a huge round brush to really make it big, not huge though.

VO5 heat tamer spray. I spray this on before I blow dry just as extra protection from all the heat I'm gonna expose my hair to. This is another thing that has really helped from drying my hair out, I recommend if you use heat stylers frequently.

Salon Grafix freezing hair spray. I like to use this when I do my "pouf" it has great hold and doesn't leave my hair flaky at all. For a "cheaper" brand I really like it, this is of course the travel size so I could try it out, but I will definately be getting the large size.

Pantene texture and shine defining pomade. This is also a product I use for my "pouf" it helps keep it together and tame the flyaways I always seem to get when doing that hairstyle. I haven't had much luck with pantene products but this one I always go back to. It has the right consistency for what I need it for. Not too sticky and not to thick, just right.

Ok so that's my fav hair products, might seem like a lot but I don't use them all at one time I switch off.

If anyone would like a proper review of any of these products, just let me know!

America's best dance crew.

Ok so I never really do random posts about just stuff I like so I thought I would talk about ABDC. Do any of you watch it? Who's your fave crew? Last night's show totally shocked me cuz I thought Supreme Soul would stay until the end. I loved their party like a rockstar performance. I can't decide who's my fave I'm leaning mostly towards SoReal cru. But I do have to admit this season has NOTHING on last season, I was torn between Jabbawockeez and Kaba Modern cuz they were both so good and this season none of the crews really wow me like before, even though I can't help but watch every week lol. Here's some vids for your viewing pleasure...haha.

Supreme Soul.

SoReal Cru.(tried to find a shorter one, but couldn't)

Ok that's all for now.Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Tinted Moisturizer

Before I decided to go on a no buy to stop with the unnessesary purchases and save my money, I really wanted a tinted moisturizer just something fast and light for my face for those days I didn't feel like wearing much makeup as well as the hot and humid days I knew my face makeup would just melt off. I am usually very cautious when it comes to anything I'm gonna put on my face because when I first started to wear face makeup, lots of brands would make me break out. That was until I starting using my HR foundation MAC studio fix. So with this one I'm about to talk about I read tons of reviews and watched video's on youtube just to make sure that it was the right choice and that I was investing my money in a really good product. I would have loved to find one at a "bargain" price so if anyone knows of one please let me know! Ok on to the product...
You Rebel with Spf.15 by Benefit Cosmetics

1.7 fl oz.

Where you can find it: Sephora or Benefitcosmetics.com

Price: $28

As you can see it is quite pricey. It contains anti-oxidants, vitamins A, E & B5, aloe vera, allantoin and SPF 15, it is also oil free. This formula matches medium to darker skin tones, they also carry a lite for you fair skinned ladies out there. A little goes a long way and the coverage is just right, not too heavy, not too light. I was worried about my face getting extra oily with this but I used my usual face primer by MAC and my face stayed matte all day long. I also tried it without the primer and my face was oil free longer than I thought but still got shiny later in the day. The oz. doesn't sound like much but the tube is pretty big, I can see it lasting a good while. I apply this with a sponge rather than a brush to prevent streaking, even though the formula is really easy to blend. I like it so far, it gets the job done.

Have any of you used this product? What do you think of it?

My favorite nail polish.

Brand: Pure ICE
Where you can find them: Walmart
Price: $1.94
These colors are: Black rage and Gossip!

I haven't seen them anywhere else so I'm not sure if anyone else carries them. For being a "cheaper" brand I LOVE them. They come in a good selection of colors, they are thick but not so thick that it cakes on, the formula is smooth and the colors are very vibrant. They also don't chip or crack easy, I went a little over a week before I seen any so that is a major plus. I've tried both high and low end nail polishes and these are definately one of my top favs and for the price it's great. So if you're a nail polish lover like me, give these a try and if you do let me know what you think! Here's my nails...

The main color is black rage and the polka dots are gossip!

Just thought I would share...Take care everyone!

Review:Maybelline Volume Express Colossal.

Product:Maybelline volume express colossal in Glam black.

Where you can find it: Drugstores, Walmart, Target or Ulta.

Price: $5.99 & up. (Depending on where you go)

My Rating:4 peace signs.

Ok so just like a lot of people out there searching for the perfect mascara, I have tried TONS. This one suprised me though, it gives me volume, length and keeps a curl which are to me all very important. I have straight hair so my lashes are stubborn when it comes to curling so for a mascara to help keep it in is a real plus. The wand is somewhat big compared to some so it takes a little getting used to. I have only seen this in Classic black and Glam black and I'm not sure of the difference because glam black looked the same as any other black I've used. My only con is that if you wait too long in between coats it gives you the "spider legs" look. Ok on to the pictures...

The wand.

Bare lashes curled.

One Coat.

Two Coats.

I forgot to mention that it does have a funky smell to it, I can even describe what it is. But after using it for awhile I barely notice.

Hope you all enjoyed this review!

'till next time....

My Skincare Routine

I have EXTREMELY oily skin. I've tried SO many different products and nothing seemed to work. In high school I had a slight case of acne mostly on my cheeks and chin so I had to deal with that on top of being oily. After tons of trial and error, I finally came up with this combo I've been using for a couple of years now.

The Clinique 3 step system in Type III/IV

I wish I would have discovered this a lot sooner than I did because all of my skin worries would have been over. This system has totally changed my skin for the better. I do this both morning and night. Once my skin got used to it though it totally reacts if I don't wash both times and it will reward me with some kind of blemish, lol. It just reminds to be faithful in washing. Other than that I really love it!!

MAC Microfine Refinisher.

Twice a week (if I remember! ha!) I use this exfoliator. I really like it because the granuals are really small and not extremely harsh on my skin. It gets all that extra nasty stuff off and leaves my skin smooth, soft and feeling extra clean.

Freeman Avocado and Oatmeal Clay mask.

I use this clay mask twice a month sometimes more if I've been lazy with my skin and it needs that extra boost. I love how this feels on my skin it has a little minty feel to it and leaves my skin cool and refreshed after I rinse it off.

MAC charged water in Revitalized Energy.

I only spritz this on in the morning after using my 3 step system to wake me up. It doesn't make a huge difference but I like it.

Well there's my routine I thought I would share. If you have any questions feel free to ask away!

Take Care everyone. =)

Catching up...

Ok sooo I heard about these eyeshadows from the icing while watching videos on youtube and since their a good bargain at $3.99 each or 2/$5.98. They always have the buy one get one half off sales on their cosmetics. These are the ones I picked up:

They don't have names or numbers on them to tell the differences in color but here are the swatches:

They are really pigmented and are pretty big pans, the only one I didn't care for was the black one because it was like a creme shadow and has a weird consistency to it but all the others are good not too powdery and easy to work with. I would definately recommend getting them if you're looking for a good bargain eyeshadow.

In my previous posts I mentioned I was looking for a new eyeshadow primer so I got the Benefit f.y.eye and the Mary Kay signature primers. I'll do experiment posts if anyone would like but I ended up just going back to UDPP. I might also try the Too Faced eyeshadow insurance since I've heard alot of good things about it.

I found my HG mascara...for now at least! haha.

It's the Maybelline Colossal volume express in Glam black. It both lengthens and thickens for me. I'll be doing a review on it as my next post.

Ok well I think that's all for now...

Sorry!!

To anyone that still reads my blog. I totally neglected this thing for over a month! I've been sooooooooooo busy and I just got back from vacation a couple days ago. I have LOTS to catch up on so as soon as I have time I'll post all the things I've meant to all this time. I also want to mention that I decided to move from Vegas to San Diego and gave myself a year to a year and a half to save up so hauls will be rare if any since I'll be on a strict budget. Sooo I was also thinking my posts might not be all that interesting but we'll see how it goes! I've missed you all so hopefully I'll get back into the game. Take care everyone!
